Updating of our CR&Rs
There is a vital need to update our Conditions, Reservations and Restrictions (CR&Rs). The present CR&Rs are not one document, but five separate documents representing the five phases of Cimarron Foothills Estates development. These documents were written and recorded between 1973 and 1978. CR&Rs are generally updated every 5 to 10 years….ours are on average 45 years old!
A volunteer Advisory Committee has been assembled with some very qualified and committed HOA members who responded to the Board’s call-to-action at the last annual meeting in January.
The Advisory Board will report to the HOA Board on the following:
1. Consolidating all five phases’ CR&Rs into one document
2. Updating and modernising language and methods (i.e. use of computers, e-mail and websites)
3. Simplifying and clarifying items of enforcement by creating common standards.
4. Most importantly, not creating any new, onerous restrictions; just clarifying what we have.
Once the Board has reviewed its work, completed any legal due diligence and made necessary changes, a draft will be sent to all members for review and comment. The final step will be to submit the documents for a vote of the entire membership.
A commitment is expected from each Cimarron HOA member to participate in the voting process. 75% of membership must approve the updated documents.
The objective is to have a final document completed by year’s end and kick-off the voting at our January, 2021 Annual meeting. Thank you very much for your help in bringing Cimarron Foothills Estates into the 21st century!

The Brush and Bulky collection by Republic for this Spring was well received by homeowners. The next collection for your large items and yard waste will be Monday, October 12th.
